Very indulgent, very delicious and all-too-easy to make. Its all mixed into one pan and popped in the oven. Very chocolaty indeed.
Ingredients:
- 200g butter
- 400g soft dark brown sugar
- 4 large free-range eggs
- 100g plain flour
- 200g dark chocolate
- 75g cocoa powder
- 100g small fudge pieces (usually in the home baking section of the supermarket)
- 100g whole hazelnuts
- First, pre-heat an oven to 190C and line a baking tin with baking paper
- Melt the butter and sugar together and break up the chocolate. Mix it into the butter and sugar mixture and try not to think about the calories at this point.
- Beat the eggs and mix in.
- Add the flour, cocoa, fudge pieces and whole hazelnuts and you should have a gooey, dark mix.
- Pour this mix into the lined baking tin and put in the oven for 40 minutes.
- Leave to cool and cut into squares.
