Fudge and Hazelnut Chocolate Brownies

Very indulgent, very delicious and all-too-easy to make. Its all mixed into one pan and popped in the oven. Very chocolaty indeed.

Ingredients:

  • 200g butter
  • 400g soft dark brown sugar
  • 4 large free-range eggs
  • 100g plain flour
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 75g cocoa powder
  • 100g small fudge pieces (usually in the home baking section of the supermarket)
  • 100g whole hazelnuts
  1. First, pre-heat an oven to 190C and line a baking tin with baking paper
  2. Melt the butter and sugar together and break up the chocolate. Mix it into the butter and sugar mixture and try not to think about the calories at this point.
  3. Beat the eggs and mix in.
  4. Add the flour, cocoa, fudge pieces and whole hazelnuts and you should have a gooey, dark mix.
  5. Pour this mix into the lined baking tin and put in the oven for 40 minutes.
  6. Leave to cool and cut into squares.
